Yesterday evening we had Karo and nostromo as our guests for the evening. We prepared some sushi and maki together and sat talking until 01:30. The sushi was great, but there are some things to remember for next time:
don’t use Aceto Balsamico instead of normal vinegar, unless you like brown rice
don’t use too much wasabi as ‘glue’ on the sushi, especially if nostromo is a guest
500g of rice is more than enough for 4 people, no need to prepare 630g
when cooking the rice according to the recipe, it would be good to put a lid on the pot. Otherwise the water’s gone too quickly
when forming sushi rolls, keep your hands wet (unless you like having that rice sticking on your hands and not forming a roll) and compress the rolls really tight. If not, they desintragrate too quickly
